British author joins Egypt's blacklist

The Egyptian government this week denied banning British journalist John Bradley's newest book, which is highly critical of the Egyptian government. Bradley's publisher maintains the book was banned. MENASSAT's Amira Al-Tahhawi spoke with the author to get his take on the controversy. john bradley

B’Tselem, a Jerusalem-based NGO, released video footage this week of a handcuffed Palestinian detainee being shot in the leg by an Israeli soldier. The footage is part of a new trend to use video footage to document abuses against Palestinians by Israeli soldiers and settlers. BTselem.jpg
