A gift shop in Gaza exposed on Wednesday dozens of Palestinian headscarves (Keffiyeh) bearing the name of Judge Goldstone, in honor of the man who prepared a report accusing Israel of committing War crimes during the war on Gaza, in late 2008 and early 2009.

On the showcase of the shop crowded with gifts and Palestinian crafts, stands a keffiyeh with the name “Goldstone” embroidered on it.

Tariq Abu Dia, owner of the late President Yasser Arafat souvenir shop in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, said: “Today we put out 50 keffiyehs made of white fabric with the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and the name 'Goldstone' embroidered on them, to honor his work."

Arab States presented to the General Assembly of the United Nations a draft resolution based on the controversial Goldstone’s report.

The project is expected to be put to a vote in the wake of discussions that may continue until Thursday, depending on the number of participating countries.
The draft can easily get on the majority of the 192 Member States in the General Assembly, especially as it has the support of Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of 77, which includes developing countries and China, according to diplomats.

Abu Dia added while putting a Goldstone’s Keffiyeh around his neck that: “a workshop for Palestinian embroidery and handicrafts is currently fabricating hundreds of these keffiyehs, which will carry the picture of Goldstone."

He pointed out that "foreign visitors and workers" in international humanitarian organizations working in Gaza and foreign activists and some young Palestinians in Gaza are buying these headscarves for around 23$. "We sold all the manufactured quantity and we are getting ready to expose the new batch of these Keffiyehs," he added.

Huda Nasr, a student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza said that she bought a keffiyeh to offer it as a best gift to her British friend.

Judge Richard Goldstone has gained fame in the Palestinian territories following the report, prepared by a committee charged by the Human Rights Council of the United Nations under his chairmanship on the Israel war on Gaza in December 2008 and January 2009; the report which accuses Israel of committing "war crimes".

Abu Dia says that "Palestinian women from Jabalya Camp are embroidering the name of Goldstone on these Keffiyehs."
