I was born in Lebanon, and

I was born in Lebanon, and my mother is Lebanese. My father was born in Lebanon and his mother is Lebanese. I am married to a Lebanese woman who was also born in Lebanon. Even with all that I do not have the Lebanese Citizenship that is my birth and country right, let along my mother and grandparents have the Lebanese citizenship. Now I have been living outside of Lebanon for more than half of my life and even until now, I am and will always be Lebanese by heart. What really bothers me is that I have 2 kids that are so proud of being Lebanese and they don't even know about this Lebanese papers problem and even if I explain to them they won't probably understand. We are all American and Canadian citizens even though I was not born in either countries nor any of my parents were citizens to either countries, and we live in United States, but we are never American nor we are Canadians, We are and will always be Lebanese regardless of whether they give us our papers or not. Lebanon is a moderate country and must follow in the footsteps of the 21st century and do what modern countries do which is treating both men and women equally. I hope and pray to God that this law will pass so we can feel that we got our right.
